Manni: What if I were in a coma, and the doc says, “One more day?”
Lola: I’d throw you into the ocean… Shock therapy.
Today’s review is from a genre that doesn’t appear often on my blog, romantic comedy. The Princess Bride was released in late 1980s, and was directed by Rob Reiner, whom was famous for his role as Mike Stivic inĀ All In The Family. It stars Andre The Giant, Wallace Shawn, Cary Elwes, Mandy Patinkin, and Robin Wright.
The film starts with The Princess Bride (Wright) falling in love with a farmboy named Westley (Elwes). Soon after, Westley is killed by the Dread Pirate Roberts and the Bride falls into depression, swearing to never love again.
The film has an all-star cast. It’s funny when it needs to be. It’s serious when it needs to be. The characters are very relate-able. It’s definitely a film that I would recommend to anybody in the mood to die laughing.
This one deserves a ten out of ten.
